Dating to the 1970s is this fabulous cheese platter designed by Frank Thrower and handmade by Dartington in 24% lead crystal and part of the Daisy collection. It was advertised on the 1977 Dartington poster as - Fromage to age. From Double Gloucester to Dolcelatte .It is still in its original retro box with a design by Kim Thrower [his son]. The platter is textured on the underside with the Daisy pattern and smooth on the upper surface. A very heavy piece of glass which looks good on display with its box and also in use as a cheese platter. Marked to the box CHEESE PLATTER FT215 DESIGNED BY FRANK THROWER AND HANDMADE IN 24% LEAD CRYSTAL BY DARTINGTON GLASS ENGLAND.
