Here is a stoneware Meat Roll jar by Moira. It has an indent to the neck for tying the foil or paper lid. Could also be used for storing utensils. A very decorative piece. Marked to the base MOIRA FARMHOUSE STONEWARE MADE IN ENGLAND OVEN AND FREEZER MICROWAVE AND DISHWASHER SAFE.
