Dating to the 1950s is this hand-painted jam pot by Carlton Ware. It is in the shape of an apple with the stalk as the handle for the lid which has an opening for a spoon. It sits on a separate saucer in the shape of an apple leaf. Marked to the base of both pieces CARLTON WARE HANDPAINTED MADE IN ENGLAND TRADEMARK REGISTERED AUSTRALIAN DESIGN.
SIZE: leaf plate length 12.5cm / 5 inches; height of apple 8.5cm /3.25 inches.
