Dating to the 1920s or 1930s is this small Deco evening bag or purse. It has a gold coloured delicate chain handle and opens up from the base at the front the whole flap to a concertina which is lined in cream taffeta. It has a small pocket to the back which still has the original mirror lined and backed in matching fabric. The outside is embroidered with gold and silver thread to form a chevron pattern on the back which continues to the front with the addition of flowers in pale green and pink. Label inside reads FOREIGN.
