Dating to the 1950s is this pretty two - tier cake plate by J & G Meakin. It is in the Serenade design of a single red rose on a fine cross-hatching background.The top plate is slightly smaller than the lower one. It has a pale green bakelite handle to the top and it unscrews to pack flat for storing. Marked to the base of both plates REGD SOL 391413 J & G MEAKIN ENGLANDwith half sun symbol B.P.LTD beehive.
