Here is a comport or cake plate on a chromed base by Chance Glass. It is in the Britannia pattern brought out in 1949 and this is the De Luxe Britannia which was introduced in 1950. The glass plate is pressed glass which has been sprayed with ceramic paint and wiped clean so that only the indents are left with colour. This is in the ivory colour and is hexagonal in shape.
