Dating to the 1930s is this handpainted pot by Marutomo ware. It has a basket weave texture to the base and the lid has moulded fruits with a stalk handle. This would be for jam, preserves or crystallised fruit or even bon- bons. Marked to the base MARUTOMO WARE MADE IN JAPAN

CONDITION: A little staining to the base inside otherwise in very good condition.
